Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route (W3R) Celebration Set For 12:30PM Saturday In Marcus Hook

(DelCoTimes) Laura Wiseley reports ~ Marcus Hook Preservation Society slates W3R Celebration

[A]nnual W3R Celebration and ice cream social on Saturday. The event, which marks the borough’s role in the trek that brought American and French forces to the battle of Yorktown during the Revolutionary War, will kick off at 12:30 p.m. at the Plank House on Market Street. After a brief tour of the home, participants will make their way to St. Martin’s Church cemetery for a ceremony recognizing Revolutionary War patriots buried at the site. Afterwards, Andrew Miller, a professor at Neumann University, will lecture on the role of Marcus Hook in the Revolutionary War.
