DNREC Opens Creek Road On Mondays! Big News For White Clay Creek State Park Fans

Starting next Monday, Creek Road will be open, northbound-only, from Wedgewood to Hopkins Road, from dawn to dusk on Mondays only. DNREC has agreed to make this stretch of dirt road available to those who wish to drive (SLOWLY) this stretch of Creek Road, just to the west of the White Clay Creek.

This stretch is traditionally open to vehicles during trout season.

This stretch is paralleled, on the east side of the creek, by the Pomeroy Trail, which can be used by those who wish to avoid any vehicles on Mondays.

Thanks are due to DNREC for working with the community on making this section of the park more accessible to those, especially seniors, who cannot otherwise easily access.
