Reporter Aaron Nathans Catches Senator Harris McDowell In A Big Fib - Says SEU Doesn't Use "A Cent Of Taxpayer Monies"

In the News Journal on Tuesday, reporter Aaron Nathans called out state Senator Harris McDowell for lying about the SEU's use of public funds on a YouTube clip he made for an upcoming trip to Bologna, Italy: SAIE 2013 Better Building, per presentare la Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU)

McDowell said in the video that the bond offering that funded state and higher education building renovations in Delaware was “all private invest­ment, not a cent of taxpayer monies, federal, state or local.” The program in fact received $11 million in state Bond Bill funds

Nathans also noted that  McDowell failed to tell the SEU anything about the trip he's taking with disgraced former SEU Co-Chair, Dr. John Byrne. I imagine it will be discussed today at the SEU's retreat in New Castle ~

Tony DePrima, the SEU’s executive director, said McDowell did not alert the SEU board about the appearance, and is not using SEU funding for the trip.
