IN CONCERT
A BENEFIT FOR PACEM IN TERRIS'
CAMPAIGN AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE PROJECT
SATURDAY, JULY 20, 7 PM
WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
(ENTER THROUGH THE WOODEN DOORS)
We are very fortunate to have an artist such as John Flynn right in our midst (he even gives his time as a member of the Board of Pacem in Terris). John has given a free night from his busy nationwide touring schedule to help raise money for one of the many causes that is dear to him. Go to his website at: http://www.johnflynn.net/ and hear the song he wrote for Sandy Hook.
Tickets for this benefit concert are only $10, but seating is very limited. It's a small room. If you would like to buy a ticket, send an email back and I'll hold it for you.
More on John: In an era of deep division, John Flynn’s songs call us together as they speak for the wounded, the weary, and the afflicted; for the prisoner, the soldier, and all the forgotten ones who walk unseen in our midst. Fusing the vision of an activist with the unblinking eye of a truth-teller, John Flynn’s music speaks deeply to the heart and the spirit. A wordsmith and poet of rare clarity, he evokes our shared humanity as he addresses the times we live in through songs that resound with awareness, irony, humor and compassion.
