HOW TO START A REVOLUTION
This is the remarkable untold story of Nobel Peace Prize nominee Gene Sharp, the world's leading expert on non-violent revolution. This film reveals how Gene's work has given a new generation of revolutionary leaders the weapons needed to overthrow dictators. It shows how his 198 steps to non-violent regime change have inspired uprisings from Serbia to Ukraine and from Egypt to Syria and how his work has spread across the globe in an unstoppable wave of profound democratic change.
How To Start A Revolution is the story of the power of people to change their world, the modern revolution and the man behind it .

From Dirty Wars Facebook page earlier this week: Abdulelah Haider Shaye was the first to report on the secret U.S. missile strike that killed scores of civilians in the Yemeni village of al Majala in December 2009. A year later, he was thrown in jail -- and kept there, for three years, at the direct behest of the White House.
Shaye's story became a central part of Dirty Wars, both the book and the film. His case was taken up by Amnesty International, RootsAction, and in popular demonstrations across Yemen.
Today, those efforts paid off. Abdulelah Haider Shaye was set free.
