NCC Councilman John Cartier sent this along ~ Claymont Library Opening
Wilmington, DE- Councilman John Cartier announced that the New Claymont Library will open to the public Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. This will be preceded by a ribbon cutting ceremony onsite Friday evening, October 25."It is hard to believe that after so many years of working towards this goal, the residents of Claymont will have a brand new, state of the art, library facility. This has been a long road, with a lot of bumps and turns, but one worth travelling. At the end is what will surely be the cornerstone of this community, " Cartier said. This library will not only provide reading and study materials, but also classes, programs, a computer center, and park-like grounds for its patrons. Because of the hard work of the Friends of the Claymont Library, New Castle County, and the State of Delaware, it will truly be the center of Claymont's renaissance. Please join Councilman Cartier, the Friends of the Claymont Library, New Castle County government, and the residents of Claymont in opening the newest New Castle County Library.
