DelCOG Mission Statement
The Delaware Coalition for Open Government is committed to promoting and defending the people's right to transparency and accountability in government. We serve as a resource through education and advocacy, and we work to strengthen Delaware's Freedom of Information Act, its application and its enforcement.
DelCOG Elections
The Board of the Delaware Coalition for Open Government is made up of elected officers and appointed board members who serve two-year terms. Elections are held in odd years. The board meets every month to transact the business of the organization. The board meetings are always open to the public, but the board and any ad hoc committees also report to the general membership through occasional e-blasts and at general membership meetings. Elected officers are installed at the Annual Meeting, held in December. The Nominating Committee will be meeting shortly to put together a slate of names for the four (4) elected offices (balloting will take place by e-mail in November). If you are interested in serving on the board -- in an elected or appointed position -- or if you would like to nominate someone (with their approval) for an elected office or to suggest a name for an appointed position, we must hear from you by Monday, November 11, 2013. Please submit name, position, street address, telephone number and email address.
